Once Great Estate is an American folk rock band founded by singer-songwriter and musician Tracy Horenbein. It was an avenue through which the artist could remember and celebrate the history and natural beauty of the southern American and north Florida region. With beautiful storytelling narratives and idyllic aesthetics, she infuses the listener with the nostalgic ache that she feels for the America she grew up in.

Her latest release is the ‘Goodbye Cody Scarp’ album, an eight track collection that speculates the range of country folk and Americana and enlarges it with neo-classical influences and highland cultures. You’ll see folk juxtaposed with bluesy country spells, sentimental classicals, and rock grooves.

Taken from this album is ‘Ghosts’, a slow-brewed, Joni Mitchell-esque track that is wonderfully melancholic. Made more affecting by curving violins, rustic banjos, and warm guitar acoustics. That softness of the instrumentals carries seamlessly into the timbre of Tracy’s voice to convey a sincere fondness. It aches like melancholy and heartbreak. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
