Sparkbird is back with another one of their theatrical sonic productions with ‘November’. It is an eclectic bag of instrumentals, all styled to pull the listener into the quirky aesthetic and ideas of the artist. They wonderfully infuse neo-classicals in contemporary frames of pop and folk. There’s also an incredible sense of movement they bring to the track with erratic and slapstick rhythm design. Listen Now!

Opening with orchestral violin pulses, we slide into choral harmonies, and get lost in a colorful jazz market. The bustle of fluttering keys, scurrying percussive elements, and dramatic violins engages us with tension before the quirky arc of the next verse begins. Their vocals are matte frames with which the diversity of the soundscape is elevated. The baritones temper the hyperactive tones, slants, rushes, with simple oscillations.

Sparkbird is the project of Portland based non-binary queer singer-songwriter Stephan Nance. They debuted in 2021 with ‘Minor Holiday’ and have since released stimulating soundscapes. Infused with personal passions and characteristic traits, their music is a creative expression of the self.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
